Metro Matrix VMS

Wanco’s new Metro Variable Message Sign is our most compact portable message sign, designed for use in metropolitan areas. The Metro VMS features a full matrix of high-efficiency LEDs for outstanding legibility with reduced energy consumption and superior performance.

The Metro is a compact message sign on a compact trailer. The full-matrix display can present messages as text, graphics, or a combination of both, for traffic safety, emergency response, and special events. The display is available in two sizes, the larger of which can show up to five lines of text.

The trailer is easy to maneuver and deploy, particularly in urban areas where traffic is heavy and space is limited. For optimal positioning, the sign rotates independent of the trailer, and its height is fully adjustable using the integrated heavy-duty hand-winch. Optional jack-legs and outriggers provide more adjustability and added stability. Power for the Metro is provided by maintenance-free batteries and a automated solar charging system.

For ease of use, the Metro uses Wanco’s handheld controller with high-resolution, full color touchscreen interface. The touchscreen provides access to all the functions of our standard interface, widely known as the industry’s easiest to use. A bright 7-inch screen with big buttons and an intuitive interface is easy to see in bright light and is weatherproof for use in adverse conditions.
